A high-concept suspense-thriller about love and forgiveness, author G. S. Cherney's "Lifting the Veil of Light" (published by Balboa Press) follows the book of Revelation - with a twist.

"Attending Sunday school as a child, I began to question some of the stories I was told," says Cherney. "Somehow I knew they were not the whole truth." Holding onto these beliefs, she explores an alternate take on the biblical last days.

In the novel, as the world is nearing the end of times, an ordinary young woman named Anna learns she has been chosen to destroy the Antichrist - referred to in the Bible as a terrifying being that appears as civilization-shattering events begin, leading to Armageddon. Little does she know, her assignment will lead to a deep love between two of the most unlikely beings.

"There is no darkness other than man's separation and fear which result in negative manifestations," says Cherney. "(Readers) will learn about God's ultimate act of love and forgiveness."
