New Science Fiction Release by Phoenix Pick is Released

Rockville, MD

Phoenix Pick continues to issue exciting new science fiction books by some of science fiction's most popular authors. The latest release in its critically acclaimed Stellar Guild series is "The Aethers of Mars" by Eric Flint and Charles E. Gannon.

In this steampunk, alternate history version of events, circa 1900, Cecil Rhodes rules Mars and is on his way to transforming the British Empire into his vision of a powerful force, managed by the "right" type of people.

But all is not well. As the Aethership "Agincourt" races from Earth to Mars, it may be bringing along the legendary assassin and revolutionary, Savinkov, who may single-handedly change the course of history once again. And hot on the heels of Savinkov come secret Russian agents whose agenda may be quite different from everyone else's.

An absolutely "solid" story (Publishers Weekly) that may be the start of a whole new series "The Aethers of Mars" is an exciting adventure story told by one of the masters of alternate histories, Eric Flint, and current Nebula Finalist Charles E. Gannon.

Eric Flint is a New York Times bestselling author and the writer/creator of the enormously popular 1632 universe. He has also co-written a number of books with David Weber set in the bestselling Honor Harrington series.

Bestselling author Charles E. Gannon's first novel, "Fire With Fire", is the winner of this year's Compton Crook Award (presented by the Baltimore Science Fiction Society each year during Balticon). It is also a current Nebula Awards finalist. Gannon has written stories for the 1632 universe as well as an Honor Harrington world themed anthology.

"The Aethers of Mars" is being released this month and is available from all online stores as well as from Ingram and Baker & Taylor.
