In his new memoir, "Utopia's Suicide: An Americans' Tolerance or Else, Versus Emigrants Handbook - Or Not? An Incomplete Autobiographical Trilogy Part One" (published by AuthorHouse), author John Paul reflects on his immigration from the Socialistic Federative Republic of Yugoslavia to the United States and the dueling natures of his beloved homeland and this new adopted country.

"This book should awaken people's interests on both continents," says Paul.

"Utopia's Suicide" is a fascinating exposé on the immigrant experience written by one who has tamed his adopted homeland. In 1969, Paul arrived in Detroit after crossing the Atlantic Ocean from the Socialistic Federative Republic of Yugoslavia. Seeking a better life for himself, Paul learned to navigate his new homeland and pursue the American Dream while still maintaining the traditions and cultures of his homeland.

An excerpt from "Utopia's Suicide":

"Is it worth risking to leave the humble, predictable, known corner in the Old World, for a chance in turmoil of the legendary America? How? The interpretation of happenings on these continents as they relate to one life's adventure is the scope of this work, which is, before everything else, a collage of personal biography, illuminated by flashes of the remarkable historical moments preceding the emigration."
