Author Wanda Goodwin-Yemm grew up poor with an alcoholic father. She reaches out to others facing similar difficulties, sharing her life story in her new memoir, "A Mother's Broken Heart" (published by iUniverse).

Married at age 13 and by age 15, Goodwin-Yemm was the mother of two sons. She had a fifth-grade education. From the abuse she experienced at the hands of her father to her unhappy marriage, she never lost sight of the life she wanted for herself and her sons.

A loving mother, Goodwin-Yemm worked hard to give her sons a good life and made many sacrifices for them. Although she wanted nothing but the best for her boys, they did not always follow the paths she hoped they would.

A story of faith and determination, "A Mother's Broken Heart" chronicles the author's life from childhood to the present day. She writes openly and honestly about her strong, unwavering belief in God's love and her hope that her future may still hold promise.
