In Australia in the early 1950s, twins Alison and Clare Jenson are as different as night and day. Alison is quiet and reserved while Clare is daring and ambitious. When they meet a man from Sydney, Daniel, they both fall for him. Later reunited, Alison and Daniel form a relationship but Clare can't stay away.

"A True Love's Invader" (published by Balboa Press AU) came to author Vincent Scerri in the middle of the night. "I was not looking for a story at that time," he explains. "It just happened and I kept going along with it."

As Clare works her way into her sister's relationship, Daniel finds that he loves both women. As the twins battle for Daniel, bitterness seeps between them and Daniel must discover if he has the strength to break away from one of them and embrace the other for life.

Scerri hopes his readers come away with: "A journey in the story that is unforgettable."

An excerpt from "A True Love's Invader":
Clare thought the questioning was over. Alison had other thoughts. "Look at me, Clare," she said aloud. People looked and listened with inquisitiveness. "Are you sleeping with my Daniel? Well, are you? I want an answer, here and now." Clare's face could not have looked more horrified by the question. She had known without doubt that she would be asked that question one day, but not in a train full of travellers.
