New Book Identifies Crucial Flaws in American Education

Authors and educators William C. Knaak and Jean T. Knaak present a critical analysis of the failures and shortcomings of American education in their new nonfiction, "Teach the Best and Stomp the Rest: The American Schools...Guilty as Charged?" (published by Trafford Publishing).

"We have a deep concern for the improved education of a majority of the children in the United States and its impact on the nation," the authors write. "The purpose of the book is to emancipate and elevate the 'forgotten half' of American students and to enhance the 'chosen students.'"

About the Authors
William C. Knaak has a doctorate in education and is the founding superintendent of the 916 AVTI, an international leader in individualized, competency and computer-based education. He has worked as a high school teacher, superintendent, associate professor, conference speaker and international consultant.

Jean T. Knaak has a doctorate in education and is the former president of the American Vocational Association. She was appointed to the National Advisory Council on Vocational-Technical Education.
