Gryphon House, Inc. has released the beautifully updated gift book of inspirational quotes and photos for educators, Never, Ever Serve Sugary Snacks on Rainy Days and Other Words of Wisdom for Teachers of Young Children. The award-winning publisher of early childhood resources redesigned the 6-inch-square book with bright photos on each page accompanying the whimsical quotes from veteran author Shirley Raines, EdD.

Raines developed the book as a lighthearted celebration of teaching that both new and experienced teachers can enjoy. Some of her favorites pages include "Wear sunglasses outside, so you can pretend not to see everything that happens on the playground," and "Dream a lot. Dream what the children in your classroom can become."

"The advice tips are funny, some serious, some poignant, and all are thought-provoking," Raines said. "The photos and words of inspiration in Never, Ever Serve Sugary Snacks on Rainy Days are perfect for beginning teachers and reminders for experienced educators."

Raines has a rich history in education, from being a classroom teacher to becoming the first woman to serve as president of the University of Memphis. She has previously published the Story S-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-r-s series of books and Tell it Again! 2, which are beloved favorites in many classrooms.

Never, Ever Serve Sugary Snacks on Rainy Days will be widely available April 1, 2017. The book is available for pre-order now. To request a free excerpt or e-galley copy, contact anna@ghbooks.com.
