Recognizing the urgent need for accurate mathematics teaching, the author Clara Credit, writing under the pen name Ms. C, wrote her new children's book, "Foundation: Foundation Preschool Kindergarten Base Number" (published by AuthorHouse), with the goal of teaching counting in an accurate way.

"My book is the accurate foundation for number teaching, counting, writing and all other number uses," Credit says. "It is the foundation base for everything that deals with numbers."

Narrated by a figure named Amicable, the theme of "Foundation" is mathematic education and Credit presents her material in a unique way. Whether through counting presidents or looking at the meaning of zero (which Credit says is the main character of her book), Credit finds interesting ways to present the study of numbers. She also includes lessons on the nature of God.

An excerpt from "Foundation":

"Therefore it is the only number that is perfect. Meaning, it is the only number in a number count that is a complete number. It is a whole number. It has no beginning point, and it has no ending counting: Introducing the number 0"
