Mike Towle joins Brown Books Publishing Group as editorial director, having worked successfully on a number of Brown Books projects over a decade as a ghostwriter and editor, along with his 25 years' experience in publishing and media. In connection with Brown, Towle has had a part in several of Brown's noted sports titles, including Headfirst: The Olympic Success Story of Skeleton, by Robie Vaughn; and Bulls, Bears & Basketball, by Chuck Thoele.

"I've known Brown Founder and CEO Milli Brown for more than 10 years and am thrilled that I'm now getting the chance to work with her and her team in this capacity," Towle said. "She is one of the great entrepreneurial success stories in America, with unique insights into the book-publishing industry and the niche she fills. Even though Brown Books has been around more than 20 years, it remains as fresh and cutting edge as the day it was launched."

Towle has worked with The Summit Group, Rutledge Hill Press and TowleHouse Publishing, the latter of which he founded, and publishing nearly 40 titles before selling the company in 2005. Among the published authors he has worked with include U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander, Louise Mandrell, Byron Nelson, Phyllis George, Larry North, Curt Sampson, Roger Clinton, Cliff Sheats, and many more.

"Mike brings a depth of experience to the role of editorial director at Brown Books that will greatly serve our myriad of authors extremely well," said Brown Books Founder and CEO Milli Brown. "His wealth of knowledge and editorial skills perfectly suits the needs of the various types of authors Brown attracts. Mike has seasoned editorial value that falls right in line with Brown's 'relationship publishing' that can't be found with other publishers."

Towle, a University of Notre Dame graduate and former Army officer, is the author of more than 15 books. Among his more-popular published works are Pat Tillman: I've Got Things to Do with My Life, I Remember Ben Hogan, I Remember Walter Payton, The Ultimate Golf Trivia Book, and Biden Time, a book about Vice President Joe Biden that has just been released by WND Books.

His award-winning background also includes stints as a sports writer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and The National, as well as assistant sports editor of the Nashville Tennessean.

The Agency at Brown Books is a full-service public relations, marketing, and branding firm within a publishing house. As a subsidiary of Brown Books Publishing Group, The Agency is backed by 20 years of excellence and experience, and the one-of-a-kind, integrated platform is available to Brown Books' affiliates, as well as non-affiliated authors, established writers, entrepreneurs, CEOs and anyone seeking smarter strategies for building their business.
