Author Maria N. Andrade's imagination comes alive within the pages of her new collection of children's stories, "Reflections of Life - Children's Stories: Volume 2" (published by AuthorHouse), the second volume in her Reflections series.

Andrade's children's stories take readers to many fantastical places where they learn essential life lessons. In "Bailey and Peaches," Peaches the chipmunk teaches Bailey the fat bear how important it is to exercise and eat healthy foods. In "Mr. Big Mouth," a hungry clam learns why overeating is a bad choice.

An excerpt from "Bailey and Peaches" featured in "Reflections of Life - Children's Stories":

"The next day the sun was bright and shining. When Bailey woke up, Peaches had already prepared Baileys fish breakfast. When Bailey was done eating Peaches said, 'Oh right now Mr. Bailey let us start our walking!' So Bailey and Peaches continued doing this every single day for one whole month. Bailey could not believe that he was walking for miles."

"My book is about teaching children about life as it is," Andrade writes. "Life is not always happy."
