Lynn McSparrin, a first time author, has completed her new book "Wall Worthy Art Therapy and Coloring Books for Adults": a phenomenal collection of pages yearning to be splashed with color.

Lynn McSparrin started drawing and coloring for the first time since high school art class when major forces in her private life collided and she skidded to a halt suddenly. Left with injury to both the body and the mind Lynn filled her time with drawing and writing. In the first interview with her now psychiatrist she mentioned her drawing compulsion. The doctor's response was immediate: don't stop. Lynn has this advice for all colorists, too: don't stop.

McSparrin says, "There is a magic that happens when you put in your first color. Color until you smile. Hold the book at arm's length and from all directions, follow your eye. I use colored pencil for drawing but the drawings are now yours to color or paint as you wish with this promise: you cannot make a mistake because this is now your work."

Lynn draws each piece to be eye catching from any direction, but says that it is the readers' coloring that will make the pictures "Wall Worthy".

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Lynn McSparrin's relaxing coloring book is sure to leave the colorist feeling happy. Some coloring tips: all pencils from one box will play well together in a drawing and orange fixes everything!

This book is dedicated to colorists, people who enjoy coloring as others enjoy crochet or quilt making or golf. Coloring is easy, distracting; mind-soothing and stress relieving. Perhaps a reason they call art therapy is because of the magic that happens when an artist applies their first color.

McSparrin concludes by saying, "Color until you smile. Hold the book at arm's length and from all directions, follow your eye. Let your mind relax and enjoy watching the magic unfold. Work through the issues of the day and the day ahead while coloring in front of the TV or listening to music. It's a great way to unwind in those quiet hours after the kids are in bed and your beloved is watching TV, and it's your time to relax. The beauty of abstract art is that it changes with every stroke and the fluidity of the process is mesmerizing. Coloring becomes a sanctuary for reflection, meditation and prayer.

Colored drawing pencils work very well with these drawings, but they are yours now, to color or paint as you wish, with this promise: you cannot make a mistake because this is now your work. Peace to all."

Readers who wish to experience this inspiring work can purchase "Wall Worthy Art Therapy and Coloring Books for Adults" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
