People consumed by their wanderlusts and armchair explorers will be thrilled with Lloyd Antypowich's newest publication titled "A Chip Off The Old Block." In this fascinating, tell-all account, the author puts the spotlight on a woman with significant contributions not only to the lives of those she knew, but to the human race and future generations as well as the environment as a whole. This remarkable lady is no other than Antypowich's daughter, Cherie Jackson.

"This person went beyond the norm in everything she did," says Antypowich when asked what encouraged him to write this book. According to the author, Cherie and the life she chose to live will inspire many others. He sees her as a bold individual who has not chosen a path in life that has led her on the road that others have paved the way but has chosen instead to blaze a trail and accept the easy times with the hard times and make the best of it.

Set against the backdrop of British Columbia, Canada, "A Chip Off The Old Block" delivers the life story and experience of outdoorswoman Cherie. The sharp and thoroughly engaging narrator that he is, Antypowich begins with a vivid recollection of the early and youthful days of the little sprout that was his second oldest daughter and how she grew into a self-sufficient wildflower, truly and profoundly so as she matured and built her life around and within Mother Nature.

Revealing how a flatlander child chose the path that led her into the mountains and valleys of the westernmost part of Canada, "A Chip Off The Old Block" is a compelling biography that highlights character, commitment, and determination and allows readers to enjoy nature in its unadulterated form.
