EUGENE, Ore.

Finally, a reading solution has emerged that will help students achieve most state standards and the national Common Core. The best part: it can be used anytime, anywhere.

"Reading Champs: Teaching Reading Made Easy" by seasoned educator and literacy expert Rita Wirtz is a classroom-perfected reading solution for grades K-12. This new guide is an easy-to-follow roadmap to success that offers how-to instructions for teaching someone to read.

"We are all deeply affected by the poor reading in our country," Wirtz said. "Almost everybody knows or has a child struggling with reading, who reads below or way below grade level."

Wirtz' 40 years experience in teaching, mentoring and serving as keynote speaker for the important topic of literacy is poured into this final installment in a time-tested series.

While many scripted programs lack creativity and are often not sequential in the way students learn, "Reading Champs" is made up of 50 mini lessons that help children crack various "codes" and enjoy reading as lifelong learners.

"Reading Champs" provides easy-to-follow, routine practices for word recognition (decoding), vocabulary, comprehension and fluency building.

"Anyone can be a coach for budding readers or struggling readers needing a lifeline," Wirtz said. "Diverse voices- including learning challenged, second language learners and those needing another chance- benefit from this structured step-by step handbook."
