ST. LOUIS

While some people use religious faith to cope with life's uncertainties and others trust in science, Dr. Leonard Matheson believes in the alignment of Christianity and neuroscience.

As a former anti-theistic psychologist and scientist, Matheson was previously opposed to the integration of faith and neuroscience. However, his new book "Your Faithful Brain: Designed for so much more," links the two in an attempt to bridge the gap between the Christian community and the non-religious scientific community.

"I was inspired to write the book by my thousands of patients over the years whose faith has helped them to overcome catastrophic disabilities and live life to the full," said Matheson.

Blending more than 400 recent neuroscience references, Matheson spotlights ways for readers to combine their emotional, spiritual and physical lives together to enhance health and longevity.

Thought-provoking and exciting, "Your Faithful Brain," will encourage readers to stimulate several powerful brain functions through an active relationship with God.
