About the Author
Joy Falk was reared on a farm along with her seven sisters. The homestead was about six miles from where famed author Hamlin Garland lived as a young lad. She attended a one-room school house for the first eight years of her education, graduating 8th grade as a lone student. She pursued a career in nursing and became a registered nurse. She lived with her husband of 55 years, nestled in the countryside of the Northeast. Now widowed, she spends her time writing. This is a first work of fiction by the author who is nearing the age of 80.
