Johnathan McFadden Recounts Son's Challenges in FROM A FATHER'S PERSPECTIVE

The challenges and potential hazards young people might face as they enter adulthood, leave home and enter the college sports scene are described "From a Father's Perspective" (published by Xlibris). Johnathan McFadden recounts what happened to his son, its ramifications for the entire family and how they had to deal with the consequences while relying on their faith in God to see them through hard times.

This book is about a young boy that left his home and went 1,500 miles away to a university in the Midwest to play football in the Big Ten Conference. He faced multiple bouts of adversity stemming from being told he could not play the position he was recruited to play; dealing with injuries, female drama, his grandfather's passing, his home burning and much more. It deals with verbally abusive college coaches suppressing the personalities of individuals and the language that they use. McFadden recounts how he first met the head coach and his defensive coordinator, an allowing him to discern their spirits and learn that he could not speak on his son's "whys" and "why nots" concerning his playing time and his future with the team. According to him, through all the aforementioned subject matters, God provided answers so that their family could keep moving forward to reach their goals, which were to get a degree and to play college football. This book also describes how that boy, McFadden's son, grew into a man.
