Christians view prayer as a way to communicate with God, whether it is a confession, plea or simply giving thanks. For James Williams Jr., prayer and faith are not only a tool for communicating with God, but also a weapon to use daily against challenges, which he discusses in great detail in his new book, "Turning Your Defeat into Victory" (published by Trafford Publishing).

Taking a common-sense approach to daily faith, "Turning Your Defeat into Victory" acts as a daily guide for Christians to use when they are at a loss. Williams, a Vietnam War veteran, believes prayer to be the most powerful weapon against challenges in life. He also discusses the importance of knowing that there are light and dark forces behind everything that happens in life, using his military background as a lens.

An excerpt from the foreword in "Turning Your Defeat into Victory":

"This book provides a reality check for Christians of today, reminding us that the believer does not have to live a life of defeat. Minister Williams presents the case for 'Turning Your Defeat into Victory.'"
