PEORIA, Ariz.

Three of the world's largest religions include Psalms as part of their holy writings. Now 70 Psalms from the Bible are available as remastered, rhyming poems in "God's Song: Psalms in Rhyming Meter" (published by WestBow Press).

Writer and poet Thomas M. Seller translated the book of Psalms into poetic verse 40 years ago. After searching for and recently acquiring his copyright, author Sandy Betgur releases Seller's poems followed by simple devotional ideas for worship through prayer, thought or action.

"Although written from a Christian worldview, 'God's Song' has universal appeal to believers of various faiths, since the material is packed with Holy Scripture," Betgur says. "It is not like most devotional formats that are long on explanation and short on God's Word. Because it provokes fresh, new thoughts, it makes an ideal gift book for religious leaders and contemplatives who love to meditate. The timeless psalms offer comfort and hope for the grieving, words of celebration for the joyful and lyrical language that is just plain delightful to read. "

To coincide with April 2015's National Poetry Month, additional sample stanzas and audio links to the book's content will be available at http://www.gods-song.com. April 30 is Poem in Your Pocket Day. Readers can visit the authors' website to print a poem to share with a friend on April 30.
