In his book of Christian inspiration "Going Fishing" (published by WestBow Press), author and pastor Frederick D. McLean crafts a story to inspire readers to spread the Word of God.

With "Going Fishing" McLean looks back at a formative moment in his spiritual development: he looks back at a moment of great change in his life. After having a profound dream which left him with a deep, burning conviction that God was trying to tell him something, McLean was left with a clear idea of his purpose: God had given him the gift, and shown him the secrets, of witnessing to the lost.

An excerpt from "Going Fishing":

"While at work, Mike asks Tim where do you go to church?

Tim replies, I don't go to church, but I do believe in God. I just haven't committed my life to him.

Mike says, I don't know why, but I thought you were a Christian because you are always helping people, you've got a good heart and you're really a nice person.

There's one thing you lacking, you need to know Jesus."

While McLean wants to encourage readers to spread Christianity to others, he also hopes the book has a more universal effect on readers. "We are living in a society with so much turmoil," he explains. "This book will encourage the reader to show love and compassion toward others."
