Frank Rosci's rhymes and verses take readers through "Another Day on Planet Earth" (published by Xlibris), on a poetic journey 40 years in the making and encompassing various subjects from nature, religion, and relationships to travel and history, as well as to topics more whimsical and fanciful.

Rosci says that he was inspired to write this book, in large measure, by the majesty and wonder of the natural world, notably the night sky and the seasons of the year, especially the season of winter; as well as by the experiences and scenes of daily life, including foreign and domestic travel, and by the power and beauty of words and language; and by an intense desire to express all of these things in poetic form. While the collection has no overall theme, with it, Rosci permits and encourages a great diversity of feelings, emotions and thoughts because of the diversity of his pieces, written with both an economy and plethora of words to express ideas and concepts.

"While based, at times, on places and perceptions of the physical world, the book's poems take place rather firstly and certainly in heart, mind and soul, and in sourcing the profound riches inherent in the imagination," Rosci says. With his book, he shares lasting imagery - peaceful, contemplative, imaginative and informative - and presents a thought-provoking treatment of simple and challenging concepts and ideas. Rosci hopes the poems will lead to an increased awareness and deeper appreciation of the natural world.
