Harley Murray Harmon has travelled the world, seen and accomplished many things. At nearly 83-years-old, his sister advised him to write his life story, while he can. "Life Story of Harley Murray Harmon's Trials and Tribulations" (published by Xlibris) is Harmon's account of his life from the time of his birth to the present.

Harmon's life is rife with trials and tribulations. Much of his book covers his issues with alcohol, nicotine and dope. In 1972, his alcoholism got the better of him, he got drunk and had a motorcycle accident. It killed half his brain and left him partially paralyzed. His employers at Boeing were actually hesitant on bringing him back, but come back he did. He was even advanced to a leadership position as lead engineer heading a team with four other engineers as they worked on missiles and aircraft. He later quit Boeing to become a consultant engineer until he grew tired of the rat race and decided to do some intellectual fiduciary work.

Harmon's life, as he shares it in "Life Story of Harley Murray Harmon's Trials and Tribulations" is a testament to how people should never surrender to whatever troubles life throws on their way. There is much to be learned from Harmon's struggles, be it with his alcoholism, addiction or life-altering accident. "This subject is as old as mankind evolving from the Stone Age and as new as the latest bit of computer technology," says Harmon. At 82, he is still much like a whiz-kid at 18 and very much involved in today's world of scientific technology. His struggles have not taken his spirit of youthful zeal. That is all because when the deck was stacked against him, he played on, he struggled and he triumphed.
