Epic!, the leading children's eBook subscription service, today announced that more than 10 million books have been read on Epic!'s platform. The company also announced the launch of its first non-English language content, adding over 500 Spanish and bilingual Spanish/English books to its library. In addition, 1,000 audiobooks will now be available as part of Epic!'s service, giving kids even more ways to enjoy books and reading.

Launched in January 2014, Epic!'s award-winning service offers unlimited access to over 10,000 high-quality books for kids 12 and under. Partnerships with leading publishers such as HarperCollins, Macmillan and National Geographic, bring an unparalleled library of bestselling fiction and nonfiction books to children's fingertips. Epic! is designed to make reading effortless and fun, and the Company's proprietary recommendation algorithms help young readers discover new books they will love.

Epic!'s iOS app is currently the #1 Top Grossing app in the Apple App Store for Kids 6-8; and the Company continues to see high engagement and rapid growth with young readers on iOS, Android and the Web:

  • More than 10 million books have been read on Epic! since early 2014
  • More than 2 million books were read last month, alone
  • Currently more than 100,000 books are read on Epic! each day

To reach even more kids and families, the Company today is launching Spanish books on Epic! "Spanish is the most popular non-English language in the U.S., and one of the fastest-growing languages worldwide," said Suren Markosian, CEO of Epic!. "Epic!'s new library of high-quality Spanish and bilingual books will allow Spanish speakers and those with a desire to learn Spanish instant access to these books as part of Epic!'s unlimited library."

More than 500 Spanish titles including "Mi Dragon y Yo" ("Me and My Dragon"), "Maria Tenia Una Llamita" ("Maria Had a Little Llama") and "Las Tortillas de Magda" ("Magda's Tortillas") will be immediately available as part of Epic!'s monthly subscription service.

Epic! also today announced availability of 1,000 audiobooks as part of its service. "We know from research how important it is for children to hear spoken language and have stories read to them," said Markosian. "Audiobooks allow a child to listen and imagine as the story takes shape in their mind." Epic!'s audiobook collection will include classic and bestselling titles, "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," "Anne of Green Gables," "The Boxcar Children" and many more.

Monthly subscriptions to Epic!'s unlimited library start at $4.99 per month. For more information and to get started, visit: www.getepic.com.
