The brutally honest story of Paula Fortune's recovery from sex and love addiction, "Enough Love: Essays From A Journey To Find Happiness" (published by Balboa Press) describes her journey through depression, sexual promiscuity, avoidance of intimacy, fear of abandonment, marriage, divorce and multiple suicide attempts to a place of self-love and joy.

"I wanted to share my story with readers who may have struggled with relationships or with those who know someone who has," Fortune explains. "Coming into the light after spending close to 40 years in darkness, I wanted to give back. If making my story available to the world affords one person a tiny shift so he or she can imagine the possibility of love, I will be happy."

A collection of essays detailing the journey, "Enough Love" reveals happiness as an inside job. "When I took responsibility and accountability for it and opened myself to the abundance available to me, my life changed," Fortune says. "I became the master of my destiny rather than a victim of my circumstances."

By sharing her story, she has two hopes for readers: "One, if you feel out of control in your behaviors related to love or sex, you are not alone and there is a solution. Two, if you notice yourself passing judgment on addicts struggling with out of control behaviors, perhaps by reading my story might invoke some compassion."
