Love, though universal, works differently for many people. For author DeNitra Bradley, the unexpected blossoming of romance between her and her best friend made her believe in its mystery as well as in its splendid beauty. "I Almost Married My Best Friend," (published by Outskirts Press Inc.) details the wonderful things they have shared together as well as the troubles and tangles of an exceptional love story.

"I Almost Married My Best Friend" is a tale of how two friends embarked on a romantic relationship. It deals with familiar social topics including God and religion, friendship, romance, lies, deceit and sex. Initially started as a collection of poems, it expanded into a full narrative, capturing all the emotions, thoughts and feelings of the author through the course of their relationship.

Bradley hopes that through her story, readers will be inspired to never stop believing in love, to take away the truth and experience how wonderful real affection can be.
