WHITEFISH, Mont.

David Spangler has released his first children's book titled "Clamming Hods and Santa Claus" (published by Xlibris). This new storybook is a treasure trove of timeless lessons that readers will find relevant no matter the season.

First time author Spangler once wrote stories for his grandchildren's classes. This time, he wants to share his imaginative tales and nuggets of wisdom to other readers, especially young children. He describes his book as a "new and different Santa Claus story."

"Clamming Hods and Santa Claus" follows two young boys who meet one summer on the Maine coast and their adventures. David discovers his new friend Sammy's grandpa, whom he meets, is Santa Claus.

Accompanied by whimsical illustrations, "Clamming Hods and Santa Claus" is a heartwarming story of life, love and sharing.
