Inspired by the daily prayer habit instilled in him by his parents, author Bruce Sanford has written "Children's Prayers: Seven Daily Prayers and 'One To Grow On'" (published by AuthorHouse). Sanford's goal in writing the book is providing a model of prayer and behavior for young children of any religious background.

"Children's Prayers" is a non-denominational book of prayers children can use as a model to form their own life of prayer. Sanford has written the book in simple language to make it easy for children to understand. The book is colorful and filled with illustrations by Lauren Brouhard to complement each prayer.

An excerpt from "Children's Prayers":

"And please, dear God,
Teach us how to 'pass the peace'
To everyone we meet
All over the whole wide world.
Thank you God."
