How do you get kids to turn off the electronics, unplug from the phone and iPad and walk away from their technology? It all begins with renewing a love of sports in children, and author Kevin Christofora's The Hometown All Stars series hits a home run with preschoolers who are learning about 'America's Greatest Past Time' along with Nick and the Hometown team.

The third installment of the series "T.G.I.T Thank Goodness It's T-Ball Day" debuts from Clarens Publishing on April 4, 2016, and pre-sales have already begun with "Hometown Fans" excited to continue the adventures of Nick and the eclectic Hometown All Stars team.

TGIT is the third book in Christofora's series; in it, the young Hometown All-Stars learn how to pitch. The previous two books, Nick's Very First Day of Baseball and Magic Bat Day, depict the kids having their first ever practice, warming-up and batting for the first time, and of course, learning valuable life lessons about sportsmanship, leadership, friendship and more along the way.

Christofora, a certified Little League coach, uses real life coaching techniques in each book, putting kids ahead of the game when they join their first team. Along with important pitching tips, fun counting games and interesting baseball facts, TGIT also focuses on the values of honor, respect and community.

The release of book three could not have come at a better time as the National Collaborative Summer Library Program announced their 2016 theme for summer reading was 'Sports, Wellness and Fitness- On Your Mark, Get Set...Read' proving again that the nation is in need of "Less Screen, More Green", the motto of all of The Hometown All Stars books.

"TGIT was inspired by the actual technique of kids making the letter "T" with their bodies to learn how to throw", says Christofora. ""It's fun and filled with exercises and education, and a baseball stealing gopher. Kids love it and parents learn from it too!"

T.G.I.T. Thank Goodness It's T-Ball Day is available for pre-order on The Hometown All Stars website http://www.TheHometownAllStars.com/Shop and will be available on April 4 at online retailers Amazon.com, BN.com and more.

Christofora is available for interviews and appearances. For booking presentations, media appearances, interviews and/or book signings, contact Mugsypr(at)gmail(dot)com.
