JACKSONVILLE, Ark.

To educate children on the importance of dental hygiene and anatomy, author and dentist Ted M. Pinney wrote the new children's book "Meet the Teeth" (published by Trafford Publishing).

Featuring Pinney's children Tyler and Tatum as main characters, "Meet the Teeth" illustrates different types of teeth, giving each a name such as Rip, the central incisor, Vamp the canine, and Moley, the molar, among others.

Each page contains a simple description of the function of each type of tooth, as well as information about how to keep teeth clean and healthy.

Pinney says he hopes his book helps children learn the anatomy of the mouth, as well as the importance of regularly brushing and flossing their teeth.

"Meet the Teeth" is sure to entertain and inform children with its simple explanations of the function and care of teeth and the importance of oral and dental hygiene.
