FORTUNA, N.D.

The new book of poetry by author Cathy L. Hanson, "The Butterflies Dance" (published by AuthorHouse), is a collection of her most personal thoughts on God's presence in daily life and the faith required to overcome obstacles.

Hanson began writing poetry at a young age and was encouraged by her family and friends to share her writing with a wider audience. She hopes her poetry will resonate with readers on a personal level, bringing them a better understanding of God's love, a greater enjoyment of reading and a powerful will to move past life's many disappointments to a happier life.

Hanson feels her poetry has been given to her as a gift from God, and with that gift, she hopes to spread strength, love and forgiveness to all who discover her book.

An excerpt from "The Butterflies Dance":
"Remember
if only
for a little while
that you think
I'm too good
to be true
God put me there
just for you
to learn"
