Author Jenny Hagemeyer utliizes a unique perspective in her new religious inspirational book, "Lessons from Danny" (published by iUniverse), a testimony from a dog's point of view.

When Hagemeyer and her husband went to look for a new dog, she met a little Shih Tzu named Danny and fell in love. Hagemeyer came to feel God was teaching her lessons through the daily actions of this small dog. She first recorded these revelations in her podcast "God's Pep Talk." This inspired her to write from Danny's perspective.

Danny's relationship with Hagemeyer and her husband comes to symbolize the relationship between Christians and God. Just as Danny's love for his owners seems to never run out, Hagemeyer hopes Christians will find ways to show their adoration for God. Even as Danny faces a serious illness, he maintains a spirit of happiness.

An excerpt from "Lessons from Danny":

"Just as Mommy delights in me even when I'm not following all of her commands, she knows that eventually I will. So, she waits patiently for me with a delicious treat in her hands. Your Daddy God delights in you and is waiting patiently for you to follow His commands! He is here to pick you up on His shoulders today so you can delight in each other! Will you come?"
