In "Coco's Gambit," American business man Ian Blakely buys a painting of a near-naked Chinese girl, never suspecting the danger that will accompany his purchase. The model in the painting, Coco, fears humiliation and even death should the portrait falls into the hands of her devious stepdaughter and elderly husband-the former head of the Myanmar army. Coco tricks Blakely into joining her in an offshore business venture as she attempts to retrieve the painting back. Along the way, the two find themselves in a torrid affair that puts them in more danger than ever before.

"There are different layers to Coco's Gambit but at the heart of it is a story that will keep readers intrigued because they need to know what will happen next with Ian and Coco," Treadway said.
