Bill Clinton and James Patterson To Collaborate On Presidential Kidnapping Thriller
Town Hall reports that former President Bill Clinton and best-selling author James Patterson are working on a novel together.
Town Hall writes that Clinton stated "Working on a book about a sitting president - drawing on what I know about the job, life in the White House, and the way Washington works - has been a lot of fun," Clinton said in a statement. "And working with Jim has been terrific. I've been a fan of his for a very long time."
Patterson said the opportunity to work with Clinton on the novel is "the highlight of my career."
"I'm a storyteller, and President Clinton's insight has allowed us to tell a really interesting one," said Patterson. "It's a rare combination - readers will be drawn to the suspense, of course, but they'll also be given an inside look into what it's like to be president.""
James Patterson has created more enduring fictional characters than any other novelist writing today with his Alex Cross, Michael Bennett, Women's Murder Club, Private, NYPD Red, Daniel X, Maximum Ride, and Middle School series. As of January 2016, he has sold over 350 million books worldwide and currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most #1 New York Times bestsellers. In addition to writing the thriller novels for which he is best known, he also writes children's, middle-grade, and young-adult fiction and is also the first author to have #1 new titles simultaneously on the New York Times adult and children's bestsellers lists.
