When social activist Betsy Jo Miller's subconscious connection with her son, who had tragically passed away at a young age, led her to contribute to a missing child case, she began to see the world differently.

A teacher with a background in sociology, Miller contemplates the meaning of life, death and spirituality in her new book, "Ye Gods! How the World REALLY Works," exploring the interconnectedness of humanity through its part in creating life, both consciously and subconsciously.

"I believe the readers will resonate with the ideas in this book as it will evoke their own deepest thoughts and emotions" Miller says. "They will be drawn into pondering their interconnectedness with all of life through ideas that, while controversial, are beautifully simple and sensible in their connection to everyday life."

"Ye Gods! How the World REALLY Works" covers topics like how we continually mold consciousness or creative energy through our thoughts, how to rescript the individual and joint creations that currently impact our world in a negative way, and how to embrace wisdom in people everywhere so individuals are emboldened to do the same.

Encouraging acceptance and progressive thinking, Miller has one ultimate goal with her new book: to impress upon readers their connectedness and responsibility to one another and to the Earth.

"All-in-all, I feel that the insights in this book can empower individuals to expand their former limited religious thoughts into creative spiritual ones that take into account the oneness of all people," Miller says. "Then love and peace will abound rather than continue as a theoretical dream."
