His novel follows the journey of Joey Mancuso as he travels home from the Korean War and across the nation in search for his place in the world eventually discovering after failed dreams in Las Vegas that he will have to make his life his own way.

A period piece, "Becoming Joey Fizz" also depicts the struggles of life on a Native American reservation, the pressure from the mob on the streets of New York City and the glittering Hollywood party scene in the 1950s and 1960s.

About the author
Stuart A. McKeever is a retired attorney who began his law career in New York City in the charged atmosphere of the city's criminal justice system in the 1960s. His more than 40 years in the courts acquainted him with a menagerie of Runyonesque characters, racketeers, top-shelf corporate executives, the literati and a potpourri of jazz musicians, some of which provided inspiration for "Becoming Joey Fizz." This is his third book to be published, following "The Galindez Case" and "The President's Private Eye."
