Author Allan Sankirtan continues his William and Rachel series based in the early 1800s with the third and newest installation, "We Share a Dream" (published by Balboa Press AU).

"We Share a Dream" exhibits two people, each dreaming of creating a better way of life. They come from totally different social backgrounds, but they must work together to confront the challenges of a disastrous flood that threatens the early New South Wales colony. William and Rachel must also come to terms with alternate parallels of themselves which come to them through their dreams.

Through his book, Sankirtan hopes to help readers understand that all people are linked together in spirit, no matter what time period or reality they are experiencing. This series attempts to create a space where readers can begin to, or continue to, explore their relationship with the divine.

An excerpt from "We Share a Dream":

"The images on the screen began to flicker. A picture of Rachel playing happily and picnicking with a group of children began to crystallise before his eyes. William felt himself being drawn into the scene once more. He felt the same young girl tugging excitedly at his sleeve. 'Look Miss Rachel. It's Mr William. He's come back home to us from the sea. Come on, Mr William. Come and play with us.'"
