OLD BRIDGE, N.J. - Author Alfred V. Cafiero reveals his extraordinary experiences and the events that occurred while growing up during the latter half of the 20th century. "The Life and Times of Albert Capo" (published by Xlibris) reflects the social atmosphere that existed amid peace and war during that period.

The 20th century was one of the most important periods in the history of mankind. Many discoveries and inventions emerged, such as radio, television, internet, nuclear power and automobile to name a few. Written in the 3rd person, this unique memoir introduces the character of Albert Capo who mirrors the average man in many respects, but in reality he is much different. He tells of his personal journey amidst the trials and tribulations, growing up from childhood to manhood during social, political and demographic changes.

Cafiero acknowledges the importance of his past in shaping the person he is today. Being an active participant of living, he witnessed monumental historical events that characterized that particular century. His lifetime experiences give readers a glimpse of a tumultuous yet glorious period of history.

"When you have lived as long as I have and had been an active participant in life's drama, you're bound to have had many experiences," he says. "And what I tried to do is reflect upon the past and put it all in perspective in the form of a book."
