Alex Andor Skanavis, author of "Gaia: A Mystical Epic" returns to the literary scene with his second novel "Galaxia" (published by Trafford Publishing). This new novel offers a terrifying vision of the future, a desperate time where the human race teeters on the brink of extinction.

On a rising plateau on Earth's last garden, in the aftermath of a not-too futuristic nuclear war, a budding plant-medicine enthusiast named Kreon finds that his tribe of Earth's last survivors is not alone. Instead, they are contacted by the mushroom allies hiding beneath the ground. Kreon is charged by a council of glowing mushrooms to spread the bio-restorative spores across the damaged areas of Earth with the intent of creating a massive symbiotic organism that receives power and information from the cosmic network.

Composed with poetic style combining the visionary inspirations and wordplays of William Blake, Emily Dickinson and James Joyce, "Galaxia" is a modern, post-apocalyptic odyssey through seamlessly woven themes of ecology, mycology, history and art. It is an interstellar, psychedelic experience that unfolds in exciting and unexpected ways.
