Al Stotts Releases Second Novel, 'No Angels in Montmartre'

In his new fantasy novel, "No Angels in Montmartre" (published by iUniverse), Al Stotts introduces readers to the life of Étienne Campbell, American reporter-turned-Parisian-novelist, as he restarts his life in Paris, looking for proof of guardian angels.

Leaving behind what he sees as failures, Étienne meets Emma Chastel, a femme fatale Paris art museum curator. She shows up at Étienne's Left Bank apartment where she used to live to search for a document she left behind. Emma and Étienne find themselves involved in an unexpected romance. Emma proves a sensuous and beautiful lover, helping Étienne overcome the grief of lost love - and involving him in a new life of French political corruption.

Étienne also meets his captivating American neighbor named Scarlett Kennedy. She came to Paris for a new job, and graciously offers to proofread Étienne's manuscript. Scarlett mysteriously knows more about him than she should and Étienne soon discovers that she entered his life to offer more than just friendship; she offers proof another world really exists.

To supplement the love story, "No Angels in Montmartre" discusses contemporary politics and the conflict between ideology, greed and social justice.
