A case of mistaken identity sets off a comedy of errors in this wildly funny story of corruption, greed and stupidity.

The corrupt officials of a small Russian town are awaiting the arrival of an undercover inspector, sent to investigate their misdeeds. When an illiterate stooge wanders into the strange town and is picked up on a vagrancy charge, the town's officials mistake him for the inspector.

Nikolai Gogol's satire on human corruption and the folly of self-deception caps off three years of training for QUT's emerging actors.
