Denis Jones does a great job with the choreography.  I loved the the chimney-sweep tap number.  Mark Hoebee's direction is swift and engaging.  The sets and costumes are first rate.  The best thing about this production are the performances. Elena Shadow's know it all smirk-smile was just perfect for icy Mary.  There were moments that I thought she would induce pain onto those obnoxious children.

Mark Evans as Bert was excellent.  Best moments are when he is on the stage with the terrific ensemble.  I was pleasantly surprised to see Curtis Holland (SYTYCD, Shuffle Along) who we just saw at one of my favorites of the year, Encores! The New Yorkers.

Jill Paice and Adam Monley as the parents are very good.  I wish they would have given Liz McCartney as the bird woman more stage time as this seems like one of the only moments that provides the show with some warmth.  McCartney is also a fierce Miss Andrew.

If you like Mary Poppins, I would definitely recommend this production.

I left with a parrot-head handled adult umbrella as a souvenir.

Oh cool, so "Mary Poppins" is now a sadistic, malicious child abuser in this? Cool. Might make the trip just to see her in action. Lovely.
