No, cirque usually does this with all their shows, apparently.

Also note that Paramour only had 5 performances this past week. While the numbers are not great it's not the nail in the coffin yet. Now if they had that low with a full 8 performance week then I would agree that they are teetering on the brink.
Not to beat a dead horse, but when is JERSEY BOYS going to announce a closing? Their numbers all summer have been dreadful.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I honestly can't tell if jersey boys and Chicago, especially jersey boys care about their financial situations anymore. I think they are just going just to annoy us. I know they both have been running for a while, but they can't be sitting on pile of THAT much cash. They must be at their breaking point, so much so their sets must be breaking.

Yes, the producers of those two shows sit in their bigwig offices drumming their fingers and laughing maniacally as we plebeians conjecture their closings. That's show biz.
Both Jersey Boys and Chicago have essentially nothing to lose. They play fairly in the slow weeks, medium to big in the big weeks. The big weeks help them in the small weeks. They've both recouped and people are still buying tickets so as long as they are meeting their budget (although I'm sure they've got some wiggle room if they don't) I don't think either are going anywhere any time soon.

Oh, yes! That's clearly it, Jorge. They are staying open just so torment people like you on this message board. Makes complete sense!
Please, give me a break. Both productions are meeting their weekly nut, recouped long ago, and are sitting on significant piles of cash (do you forget they generate revenue from more than just the box office?). They'll close when they begin losing money... and no sooner.
I doubt JERSEY BOYS are making their weekly nut these days.
