Color Purple started previews on November 10, 2015. I am assuming Cynthia has a year long contract. Her contract probably ends around November 10th. Anyone think she renews her contract with Color Purple, at least through the holidays? I am hoping to see her again in December.

I'd imagine if she extends it wouldn't be for much longer(3 months?). It's such a gruelling role, I can't imagine anyone doing the role for a long period.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Posted: 7/26/16 at 3:30pmI know she has said she wants to continue to work in New York but her boyfriend is playing Aladdin in London. I'd imagine after a year she probably wants to go and spend some time with him.

Considering it's current grosses and the new shows coming in Fall, I tend to wonder if the show will last past December anyway. Certainly, I don't see the show lasting much longer after Cynthia's contract is up.

Maybe an extension to January 1st? I could see that much happening.
