I watched this earlier and have to say, I cannot think of another First Lady who could have pulled this off as beautifully!

We may to settle for her speech at the convention on Monday. Her positive vision will be a refreshing change from the doom & gloom coming out if Cleveland.

Thanks, madbrian! That was great! Michelle Obama is the coolest, classiest, rock starriest First Lady in a long long time, if not in forever.
Edit to perhaps ask the obvious: do my eyes deceive, or was that Anthony Michael Hall at the start?

True. Betty Ford was great fun, but there was always a bit of desperation in the fun due to the addiction and mental health issues. I loved her, but...
Mrs. Obama seems to have "cool" in her DNA. And, yes, I know it sounds racist to say so about our African-American First Lady, but what can I do? The very fact that she did the entire segment without ever breaking a nail says it all!

Apple has purchased Carpool Karaoke exclusively for Apple Music. The series will be available in weekly installments, and should be available on Apple Music by the end of the year.
James Corden is not part of the deal.

The Apple iteration is a spinoff. Corden will not be involved, but he will continue it as is on his show.
