"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
The Rocky Horror tour is awful. They have turned it into a pink, camp fluffy show. It's lost all its quirky, alternative B movie qualities, that guaranteed the show's longevity. A shame really, as the cast are fantastic, especially Diana V.
Saw Dianna Vickers a few years ago in the West End production of Little Voice and she was great in that. It seems X Factor stars are getting a second chance of success in West End musicals and touring musicals. As also saw X Factor Amilia Lily in American idiot and she was also great.
Deservedly so, saw Chicago last night in Dartford and admit tingly not a lover of the piece in the first place and has left me cold, but sometimes a show can be better on the road, which wasn't the case here.
