John Travolta is being sued by former pilot David Gotterba - in response to threats by the actor's camp to sue him.

I am sure Kelly knows if something is going on, and unlike Tom's wives, she seems to be fine with the situation. Certainly it wouldn't be the first woman to be married to a gay/bi/whatever man and accept the situation.

Right, and the article makes it sound like much of their affair was in fact 30 years back--that's a long time for someone now in their 60s to change appearance wise.

Always thought that was a sweet deal, hire your lover as a live in nanny for your special needs son.

ETA: As much as I think his sexual life should not be on public display, I do understand the anger of his past lovers at the threats and trashing.

My theory: after the death of his son, Travolta started pulling away from Scientology. Don't think their philosophy coincided with his grief. They lifted their protection, which suddenly brought all these trysts to light. Travolta ran back to them and they resumed their "Force Field" however not soon enough.

I actually do not find that theory far-fetched at all.

Then again, I also am of the (pretty far-fetched) theory Scientology got Paul Haggis the Oscar and after he left and attacked them in the press that he is basically blackballed himself, no longer connected.

If he signed an agreement, he signed an agreement. End of story.

This reminds me of the time when Madonna's dancers from the TRUTH OR DARE documentary tried to sue her for invasion of privacy, including Oliver Whatsisname and frequently spotted Asian dancer Kevin Stea, who was hardly in the doc at all. They didn't win, either. They signed an agreement.

Sounds like folks just want mon-eeeeee.

IF he signed an agreement. one side says he did, one side says he didn't. If he did, wouldn't the accusser be kind of stupid to counter sue?

Unfortunately for Travolta and Cruise and all the other gay stars who had their lovers and sex partners sign confidentiality agreements, these lawsuits and counter-suits don't prevent the jury of public opinion, which has never needed a preponderance of evidence, from deciding that the stars are big ol' queens and longtime closet cases.

And in 2012 and 2013 and going forward, it seems a little pathetic.
