Audra was not there. Alan Cumming was not there. Raul sounded great singing "God Give Me Strength". I wish they had let us take pictures during the show, but there was a lot of press there, so there will be official pics up online soon.
Okay, I have stuff to say. A little. Rather than "review" I just want to say how perfect it was to see so many people I love sing their hearts out to some really amazing music. This is what they love to do, and it's so obvious when you watch it.
Highlight: Raul Esparza. That man is... unreal. The song was perfect for him, and he made it so heartfelt. Yay, Raul.
This was one hell of a show, and worth every single penny.
Bliss. Pure bliss. I don't even care that I got spit on. This was the most amazing concert, such talent - and Elvis Costello! Ugh, he writes amazing music. I have nothing negative to say. And it was so great to see a few familiar faces!

The concert was really good. I too knew only two or three songs. However it was pretty cool hearing theatre performers sing them. My favorites of the night were Daphne Rubin Vega's performance and Gavin and Norbert's.
I am so glad I went to this!! Worth every cent, even though I kneew none of the music. Personal highlights were:
Marcy Harriell "Radio Radio" Daphne Rubin-Vega "Everyday I Write the Book" Raul "God Give Me Strength" Adam Pascal "Beyond Belief" Gavin and Norbert "Veronica" Sherie Rene's hysterical "GLBTQ" rant LOL!
My only real lowlight was Nelly McKay. Nelly, I don't want to hear your political rants, this was not the time or place to make a political statement. Ugh. Oh, and whoever Justin Bond was, he/she wasn't very good.
So Molly Ringwald was kind of cold and snotty afterwards. I got pictures with Daphne, Marcy, Raul, and Patrick! Liotte, thank you SO much for taking my pics, I can't wait to see =)WickedRENTQ, I'm glad we got to hang out, just PM me when you want me to get those Space Cases tapes to you! And, i;m sorry to the blonde girl that I stole the Sharpie from! I didn't mean to!
Em, you make me smile. Raúl did do an amazing, if not kinda odd, performance. Jelly-knee inducing to say the least. I love the song "Alison", so it was a treat to hear Anthony sing it. They were all amazing. Ok, almost all were amazing, but I'm not naming-names. I'm still all happy and psyched!
