Although some of the pictures seem out of context (maybe the costumes aren't done, but Valjean isn't wearing his mayor outfit during Bring Him home and he is much older by then), these pictures are very exciting. Can't wait!
Andrea Rivette has some great pics on her MySpace of rehearsals too!!!
Valjean's hair could be on a commercial with that shine! I wish my hair and beard looked that good after a revolution!

Has anyone seen Les Miz or any other shows at Sacramento Music Circus? How are the productions? I know they hire professional actors, including many from NYC. But how are the overall artistic and production values of the shows?
I have seen many a show at Music Circus and find the vast majority of the shows to be fantastic. It is a very professional place, on stage and off (according to actors I have talked to) and the overall production values are great. In terms of artistic values, my only real issues have been with direction...or lack there of.
Rutherford does look a bit Kung Fu Master in that last picture. Either that or he's appalled at the state of Little's nails.

I remember thinking he was looking sorta over the hill waaaay back when he was doing the show on tour in 1999. I guess he had gained weight and looked pudgy.
He seems to have lost the weight and looks younger than he did then. It's amazing how old fat can make you look, lol.

Yes, I think Javert should always tower over Valjean. It drives home the point that Javert is constantly surprised by Valjean's unlikely strength (based on his smaller, bulkier stature).
javert should not always tower over valjean. Valjean was a bigger stronger man than Javert in the novel and they reference that many times throughout the show. ValJean was the strongest man Javert had ever seen, so why then should Javert be bigger than him? In the movie with Liam and Geoffrey, i think it worked wonderfuly well the way Valjean was so much bigger than Javert.
