Single Carrot Theatre's sixth season opens with Drunk Enough to Say I Love You? by Caryl Churchill. The show will perform on MICA's campus from October 5th - October 21st at Falvey Hall in the Brown Center (1301 W. Mount Royal Ave Baltimore MD 21217) and at the new auditorium in Studio Center (113 W. North Ave Baltimore MD 21201). Opening night on October 5th will be held at MICA's Falvey Hall with show time at 8:00pm.

The relationship at the center of Drunk Enough to Say I Love You? is a complicated one to say the least. Guy and Sam are both representations of gargantuan themes in world politics, and their spit-fire dialog keeps the show running at a tight 45 minutes. "What excites me about Drunk Enough is the way it takes huge material and explores it on an intimate scale, so we get to see the human side of America's interactions with the world," says Dramaturg Kellie Mecleary. The intimacy of the play is what caught the eye of the ensemble at Single Carrot. "Political plays can often be sprawling in nature, and to take that concept and put it in the context of an actual relationship seemed a great way to explore larger-than-life themes", says Managing Director Elliott Rauh, who plays Sam in the production.  "America is revealed as just as passion-filled, insecure and selfish, just as messy and uncertain as any average Joe," adds Mecleary, "Plus, it's a great topic to explore in an election year!"
