Children's Playhouse of Maryland to Hold Auditions for Disney's ALADDIN, JR. on 1/23

The Children's Playhouse of Maryland has just announced they will be holding auditions for their upcoming production of Disney's ALADDIN, JR on Jan. 23.

The theater encourages those who wish to audition to prepare 16 measures or one verse and one chorus of a song that shows their voice off the best. (The song does not have to be from the show.) Bring either the sheet music or a karaoke CD.

Those auditioning may or may not be asked to read from the script. There will be no movement audition at this time.

Auditions are open for students ages 18 and under. If age 18 the student must still be in high school.

Rehearsals will be 3 weeknights each week and a block of time on Saturday or Sunday until February 23 where they will be everyday until opening.

All rehearsal conflicts must be listed on the Audition form. Conflicts during 'tech week' 2/23 - 3/1 may affect casting.

Rehearsal dates: January 28 - March 1, 2013

Performance dates: March 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 @ 1:00pm
March 10 @ 4:00pm

PERFORMANCE CONFLICTS ARE NOT ALLOWED

The Children's Playhouse of Maryland's 2012-2013 season includes Disney's The Little Mermaid, Jr. running January 26, 27, 2013 at 4:00pm; Disney's Aladdin, Jr. running fromMarch 2 - 17, 2013; and Grease (student edition) which is set to run from May 4 - 19, 2013.
