Conductor Ken Lam of the newly-formed Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestras and the Enchantment Theatre present Wizards & Wands: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Apprentice at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on November 3 at 11 a.m. Unlocking key scientific concepts, discover the natural versus supernatural and link science, music and magic. Musical delights include John Williams' award-winning music from the Harry Potter films, Paul Dukas' spellbinding Sorcerer's Apprentice, Stravinsky's Firebird and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Patrons can additionally enjoy the BSO Family Fun Zone starting at 9:45 a.m. in the Meyerhoff's lobby. Attractions include a face painter, the Music & Arts instrument petting zoo and the Maryland Zoo's ZOOmobile, where parents and kids alike can learn about exotic animals.
